Wegovy (semaglutide) is injected once per week with a prefilled pen. This guide shows the core steps to inject safely and correctly.
Step-by-step guide

Check the pen
Confirm the dose and expiry date. The solution should look clear and colorless.

Choose an injection site
Use abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Rotate sites weekly.

Inject
Press the pen firmly against the skin and hold until the indicator is empty.

Dispose safely
Remove and discard the pen in a sharps container. Do not reuse.
Preparation
Take the pen out of the refrigerator, confirm the dose, and inspect the solution before use.

Inject subcutaneously in abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Hold the pen in place until the indicator is empty.
Storage and missed doses
Store refrigerated. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible within 5 days; otherwise skip and continue the regular schedule.
